Total duration for this trip can be 23 days, depends on walking distance, weather condition and place to visit. Flight to Simikot or fly back from Simikot is more weather depended and it is better to use one way only since you need to follow the same trail on the way back. Following the Karnali River valley it is one of the nice trail to follow. Since the road from Tibet is planned to connect with simikot air port, this trail will not be trekking trail any more in years to come. High mountain lives, green river valley, sheep and yaks heard, snow-cap mountains, this is really one of the nice treks in Nepal.

At least 4 people in one group is better to have. The cost of the trips depend on the duration and size of group. If you are group of seven+ and interested to start or end the trek from or to Simikot the trek.

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu Pick up you in kathmandu airport and drive to hotel and tour briefing
Day 2 Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley Pashupatinath Temple,Patan, Bouddhnath Stupa, swayambhunath Stupa and drive back to hotel and free time
Day 3 Flight to Pokhara & Trek to Dhampus [1700m] Our trip starts with 45-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. During the flight, we will be sightseeing the most magnificent and sensational view of Himalayan range. As the flight lands on Pokhara, we will be mesmerized by the irresistible visual treat of Manaslu and other enchanting Himalayan peaks of Nepal. In Pokhara, A bus will take us to Phedi. From there onwards begins our trekking in Annapurna mountain range. As we climb uphill, we bask in the splendor of nature and the trails become more adventurous. Finally, after walking for 3 hours, we encounter several roadside teashops and at last the trail leads to the Gurung village of Dhampus. Here concludes our trip of the day.
Day 4 Trek to Landrung [1550m] The trail narrows as it skirts round a ridge snout. On proceeding further, we pass through Pothana and reach Deorali. At this point, we find ourselves high up on the East side of the Modi Khola cascading down Himalayan peaks of Nepal surrounded by complete ambience of nature. We continue trekking for four hours until we reach picturesque Gurung settlement of Landrung. Spectacular views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli instill more zest and excitement into our adventure spirit.
Day 5 Trek to Chomrong [2040m] From Landrung, we march along the mountain path of stone steps, pass through a hamlet, cross a suspension bridge and then we come across dense forest of bamboo. Finding oneself in complete isolation amidst the serenity of nature can be quite an experience. Our trek does not stop here. After trekking for a while, we approach teahouses at Jhinu where we rest and enjoy a drink or snacks. Thereafter, we resume the trek to the north, descending Daaulu and after having walked for five hours we reach Chomrong. From Chomrong, we can have prominent and mesmerizing view of Machhapuchhare. There are many chalet-style wooden lodges at Chomrong where we can get accommodation and food.
Day 6 Trek to Himalaya hotel [2680m] Crossing Chomrong Khola, we continue trekking along steep stone steps. The trail passes by rhododendron-covered ridge path, mountainous terrains and forests of bamboo. As we savor awe-inspiring views of Annapurna mountain ranges and Machhapuchhare, we gather more energy and enthusiasm to explore further. During our five-hour walking, you cross Modi Khola, pass through Khuldigar, Bamboo and Dovan and finally reach Himalaya Hotel where we wrap up our trip of the day.
Day 7 Trek to Machhapuchhare base camp [3480m] As we climb steeply, we soon reach Hinku Cave where we find a fire-blackened overhang being walled-in to make a small lodge. Further ahead, the trail transverses several ascents eventually leading to the Sanctuary. After we pass lodges at Deurali and Bagar, we arrive at the level and grassy moraine platform known as Machhapuchhare Base Camp. It takes 3-4 hours of walking to reach up to base camp. Thereafter, we set a camp site at a suitable location.
Day 8 Rest day We spend the entire day taking complete rest, planning for forthcoming trips and getting accustomed to the trekking destinations amidst the unparalled beauty of the towering peaks of Nepal.
Day 9 Trek to Annapurna base camp [3900m] We ascend gently through the tranquil meadows to get to Annapurna Base Camp. As the trail skirts along the steep slopes, we can view the spectacular sight of majestic Himalayan peaks. After having trekked for 2 hours, we reach base camp. We can now capture fantastic views of the south face of Annapurna I
Day 10 Trek to Tent peak high camp We follow the trail leading to Tent peak high camp. Struggling against the glaciated mountain passes, we finally reach our target destination. There are other options for those who not wish to climb. Hiking from camp can be quite pleasurable and adventurous. Sightseeing exotic ecosystem and breathtaking vistas of Himalayan peaks of Nepal can be equally satisfying.
Day 11 Ascent of Tent peak [5600m] Early in the morning we begin our ascent of the peak. After strenuous ascent, we finally scale the summit of Tent Peak. From an altitude of 5600meters, we savor mesmerizing views of Annapurna range. Tucking this success under our belt, we return to Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 12 Spare day We take a complete break from trekking to avoid adverse climatic conditions. This also allows us to rest after our strenuous trekking to enhance our health.
Day 13 Trek to Himalaya hotel [2680m] After relaxation, we head back to Himalaya Hotel. 4 hours of walking will eventually take us back to Himalaya Hotel.
Day 14 Trek to Tadapani [2650m] We retreat back to Chomrong and from there we take an alternative route back to Pokhara, via Ghorepani. We follow the trail above the cultivated fields of potato and wheat before descending to the village of Khumnu above the Khumnu Khola. After crossing the river, the trail leads steeply uphill to Melanche before continuing through rhododendron forests to Tadapani, where we make our campsite. It takes 4-5 hours of walking to arrive at Tadapani. From our campsite, we can capture excellent views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare.
Day 15 Trek to Ghorepani [2775m] The trail zigzags along the rock-strewn path to Banthanti. Walking past Banthanti, we proceed further along steep trails. Nature spreads exotic sight of majestic snow-capped mountain peaks, lush vegetation and rich plant life before us. We climb through rhododendron forest to Deorali [3100m] and reach a hamlet and cultivated fields. As we continue walking for 4 hours, we finally arrive at Ghorepani. Ghorepani also houses lodges to provide food and accommodation to travellers. We select a superb location to camp for the night.
Day 16 Trek to the road head & drive to Pokhara After savoring the mesmerizing sight of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak and other Himalayan giants from the popular vantage point of Poon Hill [3195m], we leave Ghorepani and march ahead for Nayapul. We further descend towards Birethanti. Birethanti lies stretched beside the Modi River and has resourceful town. Along the trails of stone steps, we pass through dense forest and a small village of Ulleri. From Ulleri, a very steep section [with 3767 steps!] leads down to Hille on the Bhurungdi Khola. Forty minutes beyond Birethanti, we come to the main road. Now we can easily access any means of transportation to drive to Pokhara. In the evening, we are free to wander by the lakes of Pokhara. [6 hrs walking
Day 17 Flight to Kathmandu Since we have come to an end of the trip, we take a flight back to Kathmandu.
Day 18 Depart to Kathmandu

How to prepare ?
What you should pack for the trip: Warm jacket ,Pull over,Trek suite, Raincoat, trekking shoes, Sneakers for river crossing, Camp shoes, Gloves, Minimum 2 pairs of warm socks + normal socks, Gaiters (to avoid the snow to enter in shoes) Sunglasses / Spare glasses or contact lenses, Sun hat, Shirts- Loose trousers, Washing kit, toilet kit, A small sewing kit, Safety pins, torch or flash light with spare batteries, Camera with spare films and batteries, day sac, water bottle, If it is early and late season required the pair of gaitters to walk on the soft snow over the passes (in case of bad weather) and walking sticks if one required.

Clothing and the necessary items: Due to wide range of temperature and climate conditions, it is advisable to bring appropriate clothing. For protection against cold a layered clothing is better than a few thick ones, so choose your cloths accordingly. Cloths should be preferable be made from natural materials which allow the body to breath better. You will be offending people if you walk around in skimpy or tight fitting clothes. Although there are normally opportunities to wear shorts, it is strictly forbidden to be with short in any religious places as monasteries and temples. We would advise women to wear shirts or loose trousers, men should not wear singlet.

Fitness and acclimatization: For all adventure trips at least light physical exercise is required however no exercise is necessary for Jeep Safaris and cultural tours in the mountains. As we gain altitude slowly on most of our treks, safaris and tours, acclimatization occurs naturally and for most people the slow ascent to higher altitudes produces negligible effects.

First aid kit: Preparation of relief of sun burn, Lip salve, Anti septic cream, Antihistamine cream (for relief of insect bites), Anti diarrhea (flagyl or any other), Anti headach (diamox, aspirin, paracitamol, zimalgin), Anti vomiting (avomin), For stomachach (baralgan, trigan or other diagnose) Dettol, washproof dettol plaster, Bandage and cotton, Balm, Anti cramp spray, Pills to purify the water, Scisor and knife are must in the medical kit. According to your physical condition you are requested to consult your doctor to complete your medical kit. Apart from that HIMALAYAN FRONTIER also provides an additional medical kit including oxygen cylinder with each group.

Flexibility required: Adventure is an unpredictable activity due to a variety of reasons. So when on your adventure or culture we would request you to be flexible and accommodating in the event of landslides, road blocks, vehicle breakdown, inclement weather and any other unexpected causes. However we always strive to overcome any kind of obstacles and provide the very best of services to the best of our ability and seek immediate alternatives. So when booking a trek or a tour with Himalayan Frontiers we urge you to possess a spirit of adventure, a lot of patience and the capacity for tolerance.
